EmailKatie is a fifth generation Montanan whose family has farmed over 100 years near the Hi-line. She received her law degree in 2004 from the University of Montana despite being a true blue and gold Bobcat. Right out of law school, Katie clerked for Montana Supreme Court Justice Ingrid Gustafson when Justice Gustafson was a district court judge.
Katie is experienced in handling oil and gas issues for local landowners. Katie is an expert in resolving curative title issues with oil companies. She is well versed in all mineral interest holdings from leasing to participating interest and even overriding royalties.
Katie enjoys providing insight to clients about structuring their estate plan not just for their children but for generations. Being from a large extended Montana family, she understands the family dynamics and the issues which arise when someone passes away. Katie strives to provide counseled advice regarding both estate planning and probates.
Katie currently represents McKenzie County on the Opportunity Foundation Board Member. Katie and her family spend much of the summer at Tobacco Gardens and exploring the Badlands the rest of the seasons.
